Prior Knowledge (What knowledge are you building in?) Students have a prior knowledge in what are the house rooms (Living room, Dining room, Bedroom, Kitchen, Bath room). Also, they have a knowledge how to make a sentence on house rooms “This is the living room” or “My mother is in the living room”. Lesson Objectives: (What will students be able to do by the end of the lesson?) (These must be SMART objectives – specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, timely) The students will be able to place the furniture’s in correct place in the home. Kitchen: Stove Living room: sofa, T.V, bookcase Dining room: table, chair Bedroom: bed, lamp, closet Bathroom: bath tub, toilet Evaluation / Assessment: (How will you know your students have achieved the goal?) (How will you evaluate the objectives that were identified? Have students practiced what you are asking them to do for evaluation?) At the evaluation: I will give each group of students a small board named as one room of the house rooms (bathroom or kitchen or dining room or living room or bedroom), then I will give each group all furniture that I teach it to them in the class (toilet, bathtub, stove, closet, bed, lamp, bookcase, chair, table, TV and sofa). Then I will ask each group to choose the best furniture’s that will be
suitable for the room that they have. If the group have: Bathroom: toilet, bathtub Kitchen: stove dining room: table, chair living room: sofa, TV, bookcase bedroom: lamp, bed, closet Personal focus (related to PDP): In this lesson I am working on my …… My focus in this class is on improving student’s vocabulary. Where I will make a review of the important words in the unit (room’s names) then I will add new vocabulary (furniture’s) for each room.
