About the ACFE Who We Are The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 80,000 , the ACFE is reducing business fraud world-wide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) hip is open to Associate who are interested in taking their career to the next level by earning the standard of professional excellence in the anti-fraud profession. The CFE credential is increasingly being designated as a preferred credential in the hiring practices of businesses, government entities and law enforcement agencies. Become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Step 1 – the ACFE You must be a member to take the CFE Exam and earn your CFE credential. Step 2 – Prepare for the CFE Exam ACFE offers different methods to prepare for the CFE Exam such as studying with the CFE Exam Prep Course, attending the CFE Exam Review Course, and studying on your own using the Fraud Examiners Manual.
Step 3 – Apply for the CFE Exam A complete CFE Exam application with documentation is required to take the CFE Exam. The CFE Exam application fee is $400. If you have purchased the CFE Exam Prep Course, the fee is $300. Step 4 – the CFE Exam The CFE Exam tests your knowledge and expertise in the four primary areas of fraud examination: Financial Transactions & Fraud Schemes, Law, Investigation, and Fraud Prevention & Deterrence.

The ACFE is committed to providing a comprehensive resource center for all students to learn about the global threat of fraud and to help them prepare for careers in the antifraud profession. They offer reduced hip fees and full access to the ACFE's member resources to college students interested in fraud prevention and detection. Student Associate hip is open to undergraduate students enrolled in 9 semester hours (or equivalent), or graduate students enrolled in 6 semester hours (or equivalent) in an accredited college or university. The organization offers the students $25 for the hip.
