Apparitions around the World

Bonvenuto 2 Our blessed mother Mary has shown herself to us through prayer, but for some it has  been more than that.  She has made herself seen physically, such as in Medjugorje and Mexico.   Apparitions happen all over the world, and even though some places are far from on another they both have one thing in common and that is Our Blessed Mother making herself visible to people  here on earth to help share Her word.   In   Medjugorje   on  the   24th   of   June   1981,   the   Blessed   Virgin   Mary   appeared   to   six trustworthy witnesses.  On that day, around six o’clock on the hill that is referred to as Podbrdo. The six children, Ivanka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic, Ivan Dragicevic, Ivan Ivankovic and Milka Pavlovic, saw a beautiful lady holding a small child in her arms, almost as if she were protecting the child.  She did not speak to them but she did indicate that she wanted them to come near her, all were too afraid to do so at the time, but instantly every single one of the children knew who the beautiful women standing before them was.  This specific apparition took place over a seven­day period.  On the second day, they went back but were missing two of the children that were with them the day previous, Ivan Ivankovic and Milka Pavlovic, their spots were taken by Maria Pavlovic and Jakov Colo.  These two then became a part of the six who got regular visits from Mary, while the other two were to never see her again.  While they were there they prayed before Mother Mary, and asked for proof to make sure people did not think that they were crazy.  Mary left them with these words “God be with you my angels!”  On the third day while they were on their way to see Her there was a flashing light that happened to flash three times, as to showing her whereabouts, also they had encountered an older woman had said to brig Holy Water to make sure it was not Satan.  When they got to her she disappeared but when they began to pray She came back.   On this day, she was higher on the hill than ever

Bonvenuto 3 before.   On the Fourth day, Our Lady appeared three times, and when she did they all asked question and she answered them.  She gave a specific message to priests which was this "May the priests firmly believe and may they take care of the faith of the people!"   And again, they asked for signs that they were not crazy because people were beginning to accuse them of drug use and lying.   Our Lady told them to not be afraid of anything.   On their way, down she appeared for the 3rd time and said goodbye in hopes of seeing them again.  During the fifth day, there was a crowd of about fifteen thousand people, they all hammered the kids with questions to ask her and even though it was exhausting they felt as if they were in heaven.  The sixth day the children were taken to Mostar for a medical examination they were cleared to be in good health and were not crazy. The crowd that day was bigger than ever before, they began to pray and she appeared the doctor who had examined them was watching the apparition and she felt a tingling as if Our Lady had touched her to assure her that everything was for real.   She was even an atheist,   on   that   same   day   Daniel   Setka,   who   was   ill,   was   miraculously   healed,   her   parents brought her and prayed for her healing and she was, she was healed.  On the seventh and final day two girls had said for the six children to get into a car and drive far away.  Crowds were no longer allowed to appear and be with them as they prayed.  Their trick did not work they still asked to get out of the car and prayed.  Our Lady still continued to appear to them and pray with them even in secret.  Apparitions occur around the world and are a very special occasion, just like in Mexico.  In Mexico, Juan Diego was walking to his chapel when he saw a beautiful woman with  light around her.  When he saw, her she spoke to him and said, "My dear little son, I love you. I  desire you to know who I am. I am the ever­virgin Mary, Mother of the true God who gives life 

Bonvenuto 4 and maintains its existence. He created all things. He is in all places. He is Lord of Heaven and  Earth. I desire a church in this place where your people may experience my comion. All  those who sincerely ask my help in their work and in their sorrows, will know my Mother's Heart in this place. Here I will see their tears; I will console them and they will be at peace. So, run  now to Tenochtitlan and tell the Bishop all that you have seen and heard." (Catholic Online).  So, he went to the Bishop but he kept him waiting and said he would consider her request and if he  wanted to visit again he could, so Juan went to Mary and asked her to send someone else.  She  responded no and so he went back, and that Sunday after waiting the Bishop wanted proof.  So,  Juan returned in asking of her to give him proof, she said he would get his proof and to not fear.   Juan’s uncle had become ill and he did not go back because he wanted to care for his uncle.  But, when his uncle was near death he left his side to find a priest and when he did he had to  the  hill and Mary was there waiting for him to return.  She told him his uncles health was restored  and to go and get the flowers, which were roses, for her.  So, he did and when he brought them  back she said that that was her proof to the Bishop.  They believed and went to the sight were  Juan had seen Mary first, and when he returned home he found a completely cured uncle who  had said he was visited by a woman with a light and had said to him, "Call me and call my image Santa Maria de Guadalupe". (Catholic Online). During difficult times in life many of us reach to prayer and rely on it.  For Immaculée  Ilibagiza she turned to prayer during the time of the Rwandan Genocide.  Immaculée prayed to  God most of the time but as she talks about in her book Left to Tell she has a special bond with  the Virgin Mary.  “I especially loved the Virgin Mary, believing that she was my second mom,  watching out for me from heaven.  I didn’t know why, but praying made me feel warm and 

Bonvenuto 5 happy.” (Ilibagiza page 6).  This all connects to her book because even Immaculée experiences  the appearance of Mary in a dream, it was not a physical appearance such as the others were but  it was still Mary revealing herself to Immaculée.   Miraculous things happen all the time and to have Mother Mary appear to you is  something pretty spectacular, we now rely on the apparitions to tell us messages of Mary in  hopes of understanding.  To hear stories about apparitions occurring and to be able to believe are  the most amazing happenings to ever occur.  Apparitions happen around the world and are all  bringing the word of Mary into our lifetime.
