As my resume reveals, I will graduate from Bulacan State University with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino. I am confident that my academic background and knowledge in different teaching strategies and techniques would be successfully utilized in this teaching position. My student teaching experience gave me the opportunity to assume the responsibilities of a high school teacher in the 4th year level. I have developed good relations and strong rapport with my students by being a kind and considerate instructor. Furthermore, they have liked my sense of humor, use of various energizers and motivational activities, different teaching strategies, and interactive classroom setting that have made their Filipino subject more lively and enjoying. Both my cooperating teacher and supervisor complimented me on my on my enthusiastic and sprightly classroom presentation on my Final Demonstration Teaching. I believe that I can also be an asset to your school because of my comprehensive background in campus journalism and literary writing. I have been a staff writer for school papers since high school (both English and Filipino) and have also been a part of the writing team of our university school paper for one year. Since high school, I have published several articles on news, features, and editorial and have also made book and movie reviews. I have attended seminars and workshops on campus journalism and literary writing. I have published a short story in Liwayway magazine. Currently, I am the representative of the University for the DS – SUC III Regional Literary Festival for the category “Pagsulat ng Sanaysay”. Because of these accomplishments, I can be of great help as an assistant coach or trainor for literary competitions.
