Course Description This extensive course provides the skills required to perform testing and maintenance of trunks and lines with the help of documentation on the DMS-100 system. Our non-intrusive exercises equip the students to conduct maintenance activities and perform troubleshooting procedures and much more.
Students Will Learn Overview of DMS-100 system family Description of a call process POTS, ISDN and trunk connections Transmission protocols Hardware components of DMS-100 switches Functionality and tasks of each component Introduction to the Maintenance istration Position (MAP) Log-in, commands Important CI-commands Maintenance system (MAPCI, MTC) File system (SFDEV, MTD, DDU, SLM) Configuration tables (Table Editor) Logs within DMS (LOGUTIL) Set-up of lines (Service Order) Usage of the documentation Testing of trunks and lines Configure and maintain the DIRP Subsystems Generating manual and automatic backups

Access or remote access to a DMS100 Switch is required for this training. BTS always provides equipment to have a very successful Hands-On course. BTS also encourages all attendees to bring their own equipment to the course. This will provide attendees the opportunity to incorporate their own gear into the labs and gain valuable training using their specific equipment.
