A view from the publisher… why we have commissioned Cambridge Primary Mathematics An investigatory approach to learning the skills of problem solving with an international focus Methodology and approach These resources for primary maths are informed by the most up-to-date teaching philosophies based on research from around the world. They aim to teachers to help all learners become confident and successful mathematicians through a fun and engaging course. Through an investigatory approach, children learn the skills of problem solving in the context of the other mathematical strands in the course (number, handling data, measure and geometry).
