DESCRIPTION Using the revolve tool, begin by placing a vertical centerline through the coordinate system. Next, sketch a series of interconnected lines. Connect the two end points of the lines with an arc. Begin extruding by selecting the options: “remove material” and “through all.” Use the circle tool to produce a section and point it in the direction of the base. Select the mirror function and duplicate the previous cut across the right datum plane. The final cut involves a similar process as in the last two cuts; however, this time, the circle has different dimensions and is placed at the front of the base. Once again, begin extruding by selecting the options: “remove material” “through all.” But this time, have “through all” selected for both sides. Sketch the desired area and remove it. Draw a vertical construction line through the coordinate system. Sketch a conic arc along the inclined surface produced in the previous step. Sketch the same conic arc, but this time it is situated along the top datum plane. Create two datum points, one along each of the arcs produced, and interconnect these points with a final arc. Lastly, use the swept blend tool to fill in the sketched area. Use the round tool to produce smooth, curved edges with desired radii. With the shell function, add definition to the specified locations of the part. Using the round tool, create a series of sets with various dimensions and associate each set to a given edge.
