Easy Entry And Exit

An innovative Flex-Comfort seat belt is standard. It features a resilient section that gives the operator an extra measure of freedom when turning constantly to the side in reverse travel. An operator-presence switch under the seat is designed to disable drive and hydraulic motors when the operator leaves the seat.

A low-positioned, slip-resistant, open step and convenient grab bar allow any operator to step up and step down easily. The floor mat features a textured, slip-resistant rubber surface that helps reduce operator fatigue while muting drivetrain sounds.

Genuine Comfort And Body The seat’s contoured fit is designed for the operator who must shift and reposition the body repeatedly. A molded lip on the seat back helps give comforting arm and leverage to relieve back stress when moving the truck in a reverse direction. The bottom cushion is sculpted with side bolsters for thigh , and the back cushion provides lumbar and torso . A tough, wearresistant cloth seat breathes for cool comfort.

Infinitely Adjustable Tilt Steering Wheel The tilt steering wheel accommodates many operator comfort preferences. The system provides smooth positioning of the wheel over seven degrees of movement. The instrument is also mounted on the tilting column, so the operator can view truck functions at a glance.

Quick-Reach Conveniences A storage tray helps keep pens, markers, tools, and other materials handy. A beverage holder helps reduce spills during travel and cowl-mounted hydraulic controls are within easy reach.

Wheel Angle Sensor

The Cat MicroCommand SX control system helps give this three-wheel lift truck its excellent performance and energy efficiency. The exclusive technology combines rugged dependability and remarkable simplicity with quiet operation and easy servicing. The MicroCommand SX controller uses substantially less serviceable parts compared to a traditional controller. Directional ors are eliminated, reducing the number of replacement parts. The controller is mounted to the counterweight, which serves as an integrated, efficient heat sink, so the system operates at low temperatures. All controller components are protected by a weather-resistant metal cover and can be accessed without special tools.

When the operator turns the wheel, the MicroCommand SX control system uses a wheel angle sensor to distribute proportional power to the independent motor driving each wheel. The inside wheel slows until, at 62˚, power is minimized. At 72˚, the inside wheel begins reversing with increasing speed, until in a maximum turn, it moves in reverse at a speed equal to the forward-moving outside wheel. This continuous, proportional control helps allow the truck to turn within its own length, while improving traction on wet and uneven surfaces.

Cushion Tires Are Standard Cushion tires offer low rolling resistance with excellent capacity retention and stability at high lift in indoor applications. To extend the truck’s versatility to indoor and outdoor work, solid pneumatic-shaped tires are available. Pneumatic-shaped tires help provide greater operator comfort, more shock absorption, and traction on wet surfaces.

Dual-Steer Tires Are Standard Unlike single-steer tire systems, dual-steer tires distribute turning stress and wear over a greater area. This reduces bearing and spindle loads and saves changeouts of components and tires. The double footprint also helps increase traction and capacity retention.

Rack-And-Pinion Steering Also standard on this three-wheeler is power-assisted, hydrostatic rack-and-pinion steering, which reduces steering effort. The steering axle is linked to two symmetrically arranged rear wheels. Loads are ed by the steer axle and the tapered roller bearings of the pinion gear.

Effortless Braking Extra-thick rotors and an enlarged pad-to-rotor area quickly dissipate heat. Operators will sense that minimal foot pedal pressure can provide effective braking. The outboard location of the brakes also enhances cooling and makes them easily accessible to service. Regenerative braking is standard. When the operator changes direction, the MicroCommand SX system induces electric braking, which helps extend both brake and brush life, and displaces heat build-up in the motor.
