2.1 Domains The fo ollowing Engaage features w will require a domain accoount:
If recordings will be arcchived on a M Mass Archive ddevice such as a Storage A Area Network (SAN) or a Network Attached Storagge (NAS).
If Window ws Active Direcctory Single SSign‐On will b e used for ussers to access the web interface.
ngage Domain w will need to be b configuredd as a Local istrato or with read//write An En access to any storage location ns. This acco ount will be used as a seervice accoun nt for the En ngage appliccation. Make note of the D Domain Name, and forr subsequentt steps.
2.2 PBX Interfa ace Engagge will require e an interface e with the pho one system oor Private Branch Exchangee (PBX) used as the te elephone systtem that Engaage will be recording. Manny of these syystems may reequire:
System Loggin and w word for Engaage

2.3 Recording Method Haardware Depending on your recording m method, addittional hardwaare may be reequired. Typiccally analog, d digital and p port spanning deploymentss will require additional haardware in orrder for Engagge to capturee or tap th he RTP voice sstream. SIPREEC and Active e recording m ethods typicaally receive th he voice streaam from a Session Borrder Controlle er or CTI server.
Session Bo order Controlller: If using aa SIPREC depl oyment, any Session Bord der Controllerr with SIPREC com mpatibility is required.
Spanning SSwitches: If u using a Port Spanning depl oyment, a Laayer 2 switch with switch p port analyzer (SSPAN) capabilities is requirred. Port Spa nning is available in most SIP or digital environme ents.
TAP Card: If using analo og lines, analo og radios, anaalog DISA Tru unks, microph hones, T1, E1 or PRI recording methods,, a hardware TAP card will need to be installed.
TALC Card: If using an A Avaya Blue (heritage Norteel) deploymen he Engage serrver’s nt, replace th digital line e card with the TelStrat‐pro ovided TALC ccard.
2.4 Network In nterface Caards (NICs) Engagge interfaces with the PBX, Session Bord der Controlleers, CTI hardw ware, phones,, Ethernet switch hes, TAP card ds and TALC cards through multiple net work interfacces. TelStrat ttypically recom mmends two NIC Cards, bu ut as little as o one or up to tthree NIC carrds may be reequired for yo our deplo oyment. Referr to the scope e of work for your deploym ment for speccific informatiion. The th hree uses of N NIC cards that may be required are:
C‐LAN: Thiis is referred tto as the Custtomer LAN. Itt is typically u used for Serveer istraation and Engagge Client access.
VoIP Mediia Packets: Th his is a dedicaated NIC to caapture the Vo oIP voice packkets. This mayy be shared witth the C‐LAN NIC; howeverr TelStrat recoommends separating the ttwo types of traffic for o optimal perfo ormance. Port Spanning annd TALC deplo oyments musst always havve a separate N NIC configured d for VoIP Me edia Packets.
CTI interfa ace to PBX: Th his is a dedicaated Ethernett connection for the comm munication off call data from the PBX to En ngage usuallyy through anoother hardware device. Avvaya MLS requ uires its own CTTI interface on n its own sepaarate NIC.
Each NIC should be e configured w with a valid IP P address. W Write down thee IP Address ffor subsequeent steps. If Port Spanning, the VoIP P dedicated N NIC must be cconfigured wiith the Engage Packet Prottocol driverr prior to installation. 2.4.1 1
Install Packet Capture Driver (PCap) (Spanniing Only)
If your deployment uses one off the Port Spanning solutioons, then an EEthernet Netw work Interface Card w will be requirred with an En ngage Packet Protocol drivver. This enab bles the NIC tto receive voice
