Magnetic com or another non faulty gyro com or any alternative means used for heading
3.
Person responsible for gyro maintenance informed
4.
The Engineer Officer in charge of the watch informed
5.
Effect of failure on other navigational aids considered (i.e.: autopilot, radars, integrated navigations equipment, etc.)
6.
Switch over manual steering mode if deemed necessary
7.
Inform the Operations manager
