Introduction To design and prototype implementation of home automation system that uses WiFi technology and controls devices and appliances remotely using Smart phone application. The home appliances are controlled by the Arduino which receives commands from the server computer, which operates according to the commands received from the mobile application via the wireless network or the internet. In our proposed system the home server is built upon a Wi-Fi technology which receives commands from the client and the command is processed via Arduino, which allows a to control and monitor any parameters related to the home by using any Android capable smart phone or via Wi-Fi. An attractive market for Home Automation System is for busy families and individuals with physical limitations. s can control electrical appliances such as light switches, power plug, temperature sensor and current sensor can be integrated with the home control system in home or office via smart phone. Application will also provide secure notifications and alarm for Burglary, fire hazards and LPG leakage. This project aims at controlling every happening at home or office on your fingers. . This paper presents an innovative low cost design and implementation of automated control based on weather conditions, appliance control, and, home security together.

PROPOSE D SYSTEM : Software Design & Hardware Design :

Basic Deg

Hardware Deg The hardware of this system consists of many peripherals and components and all the components will be connected together for the proper functioning of the system. We will use an AC to DC converter or DC input. Ex. ESP8266 Chip, Ardunio Kit etc.

Software Deg We will use many software for the programming the audrino kit and burning the microcontroller used. Android Software Development kit will also be used for the to connect with the hardware system easily. Ex. Arduino Mega ADK, Arduino SDK

The hardware circuit : Atmel AT89S52 powerful microcontroller. Microcontroller is a 40 pin IC having four ports : P0, P1, P2 and P3 => 8 I/O pins (P X.0-P X.7) LPG sensor => P0.0 Two Relays => P0.3 and P0.4 Temperature sensor => P1.0 IR sensors => P1.1 Buzzer => P2.7 USB-TTL => P3.0 and P3.1. ➜ 7805 regulator is used for microcontroller working. ➜

Temperature sensor (LM35) Three terminals and required Maximum of 5.5 V supply diode. Temperature sensors directly connected to microprocessor input and thus capable of direct and reliable communication with microprocessors and low cost processors without A/D converters. ➜

 Crystal Oscillator provides frequency of 11.0592 MHz.  LED’s mounted on the circuit.  PIR Sensors Measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view.  Arudino Uno R3 Can sense and control more of the physical world than your desktop computer. The Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P. It has 14 digital inputs/outputs pins( of which can be used as PWM outputs), 6 anaputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB connection, a power jack, as ICSP header and a reset button. Power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get start.  8 Channel Relay Used to control various applicances, and other equipments with large current. “NC” ports means “Normally connected to COM” and “NO” ports means “Normally open to COM”. 8 LEDS to show the status of relays.  LPG sensor (MQ6)

Software Applications are usually developed in Java programming language using the Android Software development Kit(SDK) Arduino IDE: The Arduino open source IDE makes it easy to write code and it on any arduino board. To build the android application to receive the live video feed from the camera and to send the control signals to control the robot.

Working Transmits this command to microcontroller circuit through USB to TTL which converts the digital signal to analog. The microcontroller circuit consists of temperature sensor (LM35), LPG sensor (MQ6), Relays and IR sensors. Microcontroller circuit in turn will perform the required operation as per the command received. In case if temperature exceeds the threshold limit or on gas leakage immediate notification will be received by the on his handset. .The system also has IR sensors which keeps a count of people in the room, so when the person enters or leaves the room it will increase or decrease the count respectively. Thus on the count of zero the appliances will be switched off automatically. The server machine will also maintain the formation regarding the consumption of energy by each device and this information will be displayed on their mobile phone as and when required. Connect the board to the wireless network. sensors are installed on doors, and you want to know if the door has been opened or not. To emulate one of these sensors, we will simply use a small push button. Thus this is how the complete system will work.

A low cost, secure auto-configurable, remotely controlled solution to control home appliances remotely using the WiFi technology with pc or smartphone to connect system parts, satisfying needs and requirements. Provides home security and is cost-effective as compared to the previously existing systems. The System not only monitors the sensor data, like temperature, motion sensors, but also actuates a process according to the requirement.

Conclusion

The devices will also be very easy to integrate into existing applications and require only a small amount of expertise to install. The technology used could be implemented in a wide variety of applications that require the use of sensors and appliances. This project successfully designed a system that communicates with a mobile device such as a Smartphone or laptop via Raspberry Pi to control a door sensors and a light switches and a camera to stream live video, but has many possible applications that could benefit from this work. Thus the hardware will be created according to the model represented And most of the features will be added to it for a noble automation project.
