How To Make These Durga Mantras More Effective First of all, let us tell you that all these Durga Mantras are very effective and powerful on their own. However, only if you chant them in a proper way will you get the maximum benefit. But there are some steps by which you can please Durga Devi more easily and fast. For doing Durga puja , take bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. Then, place the idol or photo of deity on a clean platform where you want to worship Her and then worship the deity with following things: roli (red colored powdered or red sandal),  flowers,  balepatra,  rice,  kumkum (vermillion). You should light a jyoti and pour ghee in it. Please make sure that jyoti is burning continuously throughout the worship. Pour ghee in the jyoti at regular intervals. Finally, for performing the aarti you can sing the Goddess Durga’s aarti song. Once the puja is over, your hands and pay respect to Maa Durga Devi. Absorb the energy by moving your hands in a circular way over the jyoti for three or five times. This is very important for accepting the blessings of Maa Durga.
