Inspeccione por cualquier depresión o imperfección localizadas. Si están presentes, la cara debe remaquinarse. NOTA: La cara de combustión del block sólo puede remaquinarse si se cumple uno de los dos siguientes criterios
1. Después del remaquinado, puede alcanzarse la protuberancia correcta del pistón. 2. Para motores que usan juntas de la cabeza clasificadas, puede usarse la junta de la cabeza del siguiente espesor para alcanzar la protuberancia correcta del pistón.

Inspeccione los barrenos de cilindro por daño o desgaste excesivo.
