Scholarships & Sports Scholarship
The NUS Scholarships are highly coveted scholarships awarded to high calibre individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, present excellent co-curricular activities records and exhibit outstanding leadership qualities. NUS Scholars are expected to contribute significantly to the NUS community while in NUS, and to emerge as dynamic global leaders who are capable of effecting a positive change to society after they graduate. The five tiers of NUS Scholarships offered to prospective students are as follow: NUS Global Merit Scholarship NUS Undergraduate (Merit) Scholarship NUS Undergraduate Scholarship Kent Ridge Undergraduate (Merit) Scholarship • Kent Ridge Undergraduate Scholarship • • • •
In addition to the abovementioned NUS Scholarships, NUS also offers the NUS Sports Scholarship for highly-talented individuals who possess outstanding academic and sports participation and representation records. NUS Sports Scholars are uniquely well-rounded individuals who are committed to bring NUS Sports to greater heights.
KEY FEATURES • Attractive benefits, including eligibility for various university-funded scholar development programmes, including leadership programmes and camps and overseas community involvement programmes. • Tenable for the stipulated and typical duration of the respective undergraduate courses which applicants are itted to, subject to renewal requirements with regards to academic performance. • Coverage for most courses in NUS, including Double Degree Programmes and Concurrent Degree Programmes. Limited scholarships are available for Dentistry, Medicine and Music. • Scholarships are bond-free.
ELIGIBILITY Applicants for the NUS Scholarships/ NUS Sports Scholarship must: • Be Singapore Citizens; • Have strong leadership qualities and potential; • Have a good co-curricular activities and record, and • Have offered Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-levels, diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore or equivalent high school qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate).
APPLICATION Interested students should apply for the NUS Scholarships and NUS Sports Scholarship at https://aces01.nus.edu.sg/uasonline2/ scholarships/.do in February and March every year.

Ng Yee Ting Faculty of Law, Year 1 With the NUS Scholarship, I have freedom and opportunities to pursue my dreams. Without a bond to the scholarship, I have the freedom to try new and different things, widening my perspective of the world. It also allows me to discover exactly which area of law I am truly ionate about. Moreover, NUS provides many additional opportunities and grants for me to participate in supplementary enrichment activities, to enhance my NUS experience, which is in line with my school’s mission to foster well-rounded minds, well-equipped to succeed in our fastchanging world. Indeed, being awarded the NUS Scholarship has opened many doors of opportunities to enhance myself with.

Bryan Zhao Business istration (ancy), Finance Specialisation, Year 2 I have always believed that joy shared is joy multiplied, and that is where my ion for people stems from. As an NUS Scholar, receiving financial freedom during my education has allowed me to give even more of myself to the NUS community. I was able to pursue creativity through university-wide activities such as Rag and Flag, and serve in the NUS Students’ Business Club. The NUS Scholar Enrichment Grant enabled me to take this ion further where I participated in the International Business Summer Programme at Peking University. The NUS Scholarship is truly one that takes you places.
