USB Data (+) Pins 25 and 27 may be used in different manner. To charge an iPhone 3G / iPod Touch 2nd gen or Ipod Classic

(6th Gen), usb data- (25) should be at 2.8v, usb data+(27) should be at 2.0v. This can be done with a few simple resistors: 33k to +5v (23) and 22k to gnd(16) to obtain 2v and 33k to +5v and 47k to gnd to obtain 2.8v. This is a notification to the iphone that it is connected to the external charger and may drain amps from the usb. It's also possible to charge the iPod's or iPhone's battery to make use the of internal +3.3v output (18) terminal to connect the USB Data + (27) thru a 47k ohms resistor and the USB Data- (25) thru a 47k resistor to the USB Power source +5v (23). This way the USB function is still useable for normal operations and makes it easier the fit in a plug. The resistors are not to critical 2x 150k's still work. 28

Pinout cable USB para iPod, iPhone y iPad Te parecerá raro este post, pero como técnicos electrónicos nos llega diversidad de trabajos que no son solo televisores o equipos de sonido (lo tradicional) Pues un día de estos la hija de un amigo llegó con el cargador de su iPhone el cual lleva un cable con conexión USB que se puede quitar y poner (así son casi todos). Entonces a ese cable se le habían despegado o cortado tres de los cuatro cables (valga la redundancia) que lleva internos en el conector dock, pues solo el verde estaba en su lugar y los otros tres ni idea como ponerlos. La verdad no encontraba la forma o la posición correcta para soldar esos tres cables (blanco, rojo y negro) y hacerlo de forma equivocada era un riesgo que no quería correr, pues podía suceder que yo conectara los cables en forma invertida y por lo tanto cabía la posibilidad de dañar el iPhone al recibir voltaje al revés o invertido. Entonces me puse a buscar en internet ese tipo de información y encontré mucho sobre ese cable pero nada sobre su conexionado (talvez no busqué bien), pero por suerte que tengo un iPod Touch 3G de Apple que me regalaron y por supuesto tiene cargador con su cable independiente, el cual yo me resistía a medir porque es muy complicado colocar las puntas del tester en sus puntos de conexión y obviamente anotar correctamente el posicionado.

¿Porque digo complicado? Pues porque en el conector USB son cuatro puntos de conexión pero en el otro extremo (conector dock) son 30 los puntos de conexión y muy pequeños que cuesta mucho ubicar los 4 puntos entre ellos, pero lo logré y por eso hoy comparto esos datos contigo en la imagen anterior, por si algún día lo necesitas. Nota: Mi cable lleva los 30 puntos de conexión en el conector dock, que aunque solo hace uso de 4 los otros 26 están presentes pero van libres (deben de ser útiles para diferentes fines obviamente) y digo eso porque otros cables solo llevan los 4 necesarios
