The powerful AutoCAD based software is used both for planning and design, as well as the documentation of substations. With primtech tools you can accelerate the planning process considerably and the simulation of a substation model in 3D is optimally ed. Also, use primtech in Civil Engineering, e.g. when planning roads and cable ducts. Take advantage of the possibility of deg building models such as Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) buildings or control buildings in your model. Create fences, roads, cable ducts and foundations, all within your primtech environment. An overview of the civil engineering objects used can be generated easily and is shown clearly organised and sorted in the parts lists. Generation of buildings and building services The generation of 3D buildings can easily and quickly be implemented due to dedicated tools in primtech. Architectural objects, for example, windows, doors or a roof are available. Generate various building types, such as control buildings or buildings for gas insulated substations. Intelligent window and door objects are automatically placed in walls with the correct wall opening. Wall and ceiling openings are optimally ed by special functions. Functions for building grids and of different construction methods, e.g. steel constructions, skeleton structures and concrete modules as well as quantity and area evaluations of rooms and walls, optimise the planning process for your building. Optimal planning using clearance calculation Conducting parts, insulators and earth parts are identified by primtech. The functionality for checking live phases determines the individual phases throughout the complete substation. Consequently, further analyses to determine minimum distances, such as phase-to-phase or phase-to–earth, can be carried out using the intelligent substation model. Lightning protection volumes and areas for substations A powerful lightning protection calculation function is integrated into primtech which works in accordance to the current DIN VDE calculation procedure and the IEC rolling sphere method and uses lightning rods and lightning protection wires as lightning arresters.
