Paul Hanson’s Custom Patches for the GT-10 Hi, I’m Paul Hanson, a specialist at BOSS, and these are some of my custom patches. It’s probably a good idea to have your GT-10 Owner’s Manual on hand so you can refer to it if you need help with any of the instructions in this document. Here are a few quick notes to get the best out of these patches and the GT-10: • Patches with “L/R” in the patch name are intended for stereo use. To monitor the GT-10’s output in stereo, connect the OUTPUT L/MONO and R jacks to two separate amps, or to left and right channels on a stereo mixer, multitrack recorder, etc. You can also monitor in stereo by plugging headphones into the GT-10’s PHONES jack. • Set the GT-10’s OUTPUT SELECT setting for the type of device you’re plugging into (LINE/PHONES, COMBO AMP, JC-120, etc.). • All my patches have effects assigned to the GT-10’s CTL 1 and CTL 2 pedals, so don’t forget to press them to see what they do. Before You Begin To load these patches into your GT-10, you’ll need to connect to a USB-equipped computer running Windows XP/Vista or Mac OS 10.4.3 (or later). To prepare for this, you’ll need to do the following: • Set the GT-10’s USB Driver mode as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Press SYSTEM on the GT-10’s front . Use the dial to select “USB” in the display. Press CATEGORY/ENTER. Use the cursor buttons to select “Driver Mode.” Use the dial to select “Advanced.” “PLEASE RESTART” will be displayed. Turn the GT-10’s power off and then back on again.

Procedure for Using the GT-10 Librarian to Back Up and Load Patches 1. First, let’s back up any patches that you’ve already created. (If you don’t want to back up your patches, you can skip ahead to Step 6.) •

This backs up all of your custom patches, and you can reopen this file to reload them back into your GT-10 whenever you like. 6. Go to the File menu and select Open. In the dialog that appears, navigate to the “GT10_20CstmPaulH” library file that you ed and open it. 7. In the Main window, select the 20 patches that you inserted, and then click the Write Selected button. Note: This procedure will overwrite the existing GT-10 patches in the selected locations. 9.
