Statement of Purpose Being from a family with engineering background, I was always, as a child, motivated to follow the same steps. My dad being a Power Systems engineer would bring all sorts of new devices to the house, which I would always be fascinated by. He brought a computer once back in early 1990s. I saw the wonders it could do. Also we used to get the “BASIC” education related to the computers in my school when I was in 3rd grade. Since then I’ve been clinging to the world of computer like a tick to pursue my career in the same lines. The first step towards this goal was when I enrolled into Diploma in Information Technology directly after I graduated High School in India, followed by a bachelors and Master degree in the same field. The 9 year academic experience was fruitful when I received an internship as a Programmer Analyst, followed by three more such opportunities where I got to learn new skills and exploit my learning abilities to the good of the companies. Now I have almost three years of experience in the field of IT in the up and about technologies like Java, .Net, SAP, T-SQL, PL/SQL while working on almost seven projects. This experience peaked up my interest in Project Management. Therefore as a first step towards my interest, I found myself searching for Project Management courses which provides concentration in Information technology. My search led me to Harrisburg University where I found various concentration in the same field and moreover, apply my fresh acquired knowledge immediately in real time. After the graduation, I see myself as a Senior Project Manager, handling various project pertaining to various technologies. The MS in Project Management course offered by Harrisburg University would not only enhance my overall knowledge but it would also provide me vital tools to equip myself with the intersection of everything I wish to pursue. This program will help me overcome the milestone towards my career goal with a steady pace and accurate guidance. I strongly believe that with my problem solving, analytical quick learning and leadership qualities, I would add to the significant value to Harrisburg University.
