UNIVERSITY OF CHITTAGONG FACULTY OF ARTS DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH SYLLABUS FOR B. A. (HONOURS) IN ENGLISH SESSION : 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 1st Year B. A. (Honours) Examination 2010 and 2011 2nd Year B. A. (Honours) Examination 2011 and 2012 3st Year B. A. (Honours) Examination 2012 and 2013 4st Year B. A. (Honours) Examination 2013 and 2014 There will be total twenty four major courses and four allied courses in the four year B. A. (Honours) programme taught at the department of English, University of Chittagong. Students are required to take four major courses (101, 102, 103, 104) and two allied courses (Allied-I, Allied- II) in the 1st year, four major courses (201, 202, 203, 204) and two allied courses (Allied- III, Allied- IV) in the 2nd year, eight major courses (301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308) in the 3rd year and eight major courses (401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408) in the 4th year. In addition, students are required to complete sessional/ tutorial for 25 marks and viva-voce for 25 marks each year.
