THIS MULTIPLIER IS OBTAINED FROM THE RATIO OF CURRENT TRANSFORMER USED, FOR EXAMPLE 300:5 THIS MEANS YOU HAVE TO MULTIPLY YOUR GATHERED READINGS TO 60 TO HAVE THE ACTUAL CONSUMPTION. THE CURRENT TRANSFORMER (INSTRUMENT TRANSFORMER) IS NORMALLY SHAPED LIKE "DOUGHNUT" WHERE CABLE THROUGH OR RECTANGULAR SHAPED FOR BUSBARS TO MEASURE ACTUAL LINE CURRENT AND COMBINED WITH POTENTIAL (VOLTAGE) TRANSFORMER FOR REMOTE METERING AND SYSTEM PROTECTION PURPOSES IN COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS OR WHERE LOAD ARE HIGHER AND FOR SAFETY PURPOSES TO PERSONNEL/TECHNICIANS.
