-Pahiyas Festival is a colorful feast celebrated every 15th of May by the people of Lucban, Quezon in honor of San Isidro Labrador. It is the farmers' thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town. *Feast of Black Nazarene -Manila -Religious -9th of January -Every January 9 at Quipo Church in Manila, The Black Nazarene, a life-sized statue of Christ is carried through town by barefooted men yelling, “Viva Señor”, while huge crowd tries to touch the statue. 5 Non-Religious Festivals *Kadayawan Festival -Davao City -Non Religious -Every 3rd week of August -The Kadayawan Festival is an annual festival in the city of Davao in the Philippines. This festival commemorates the Treaty of Friendship between Datu Sikatuna, a chieftain in Bohol, and Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi. *Zambulawan Festival -Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur -Non Religious -Third Sunday of January -Zambulawan Festival is held every third Sunday of January in Pagadian City Zamboanga del Sur that celebrates the founding anniversary of Pagadian City. *Kaamulan Festival -Malaybalay, Bukidnon -Non Religious -28th of February-3rd of March -Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic cultural festival held annually in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon in the Philippines from the second half of February to March 10, the anniversary date of the foundation of Bukidnon as a province in 1917. It is held to celebrate the culture and tradition of the seven ethnic tribal groups—Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon—that originally inhabit the province.[1][2] It is the only ethnic festival in the Philippines.[3]
