The heat treatment shall be solution annealed and water quenched. Heat treatmnent chart/records with proper traceability to the heat and heat lot shall be included with the fin material Test certification.

One set of impact test,tensile test,hardness test and microstructure examination shall be carried out for each heat and heat treatment load. A test lot shall not exceed 5000kgs.

Microstructure examination shall be carried out at the same area as location of specimen fo mechanical testing. The specimen size shall be minimum 10x10 mm,and ferrite content sh be determined according to ASTM E562 and shall be within 35-55%. The microstructure as examined at 200X and 400X magnification on a suitably eatched specimen in accordance with ASTM A923,shall be free from intermetallic phase and precipitates.

Hardness shall meet NACE MR0175/ISO15156 requirements.

Corrosion test per heat shall be carried out at 22+/-1Deg.C as per ASTM G48 Method A. No pttting allowed at 20X and weight loss shall not exceed 4 gm/sq.mt.

Ferrite scope reading shall be taken for each fitting at a minimum of four equally spaced location around circumference at the thickest section.

For weld repairs the following supplementry requirements apply to ASTM A890 S ● The definations for major and minor repaires shall be considered same as S33. ● Welding procedures for both major and minor shall be sumitted for Company's approval prior to carrying out repairs; ● The repair welding procedure qualification shall include the following: ○ Qualified on the same grade (UNS-Number) of material as the product; ○ Change of specific make og filler metal(brand name) requires re-qualification; ○ Examination of microstructure of base metal,and weld zone. The ferrite content shall be 35-55% for the base metal and 25-60% for the weld metal/HAZ.
○ Charpy V-notch testing as specified at (3) above, with three sets each of 3 specimens,wit notch located in the weld metal,fusion line(FL),and FL+2mm.
