— Cynthia Sue Larson — Make the Leap from Accidental Manifestor to Conscious Creator ALEXIS BROOKS: Welcome, everyone, to another episode of the New Mind, Body, Spirit Summit by Conscious Life News. We’re so happy to have another wonderful guest who’s going to be sharing with us so many empowering tools we need in this new world. I say new world — and you’ve heard me say this before — because I really believe we’ve entered into a new paradigm, a new way of living and being. Even though there may be some of you on this call who may be saying, “I don’t see anything different.” Things are slightly different. The frequency is rising, and thus our own frequency is rising as well. Why not take advantage of that? Why not really sit for a moment and contemplate the fact that things may be a little bit different in a good way? Things are speeding up. Manifestation is happening quicker. We’ve got a wonderful set tools and array of guests who are going to tell us how to leverage these tools in this new world. Today, I have Cynthia Sue Larson. Not only is Cynthia a dear friend, but she also happens to be a best-selling author and spiritual life coach. She’s been featured on numerous TV and radio shows, including the History Channel and BBC since 1999. Cynthia has published the popular monthly Reality Shifters e-zine, covering the subject of how consciousness changes the physical world. I want to tell you a couple of things other people have said about Cynthia pertaining to her book we’ll talk about today called “Reality Shifts.” This from Dr. Larry Dossey: “Cynthia Larson helps restore a sense of majesty and wonder to our everyday world. Those are some pretty heavy commendations, Cynthia. Let’s get right into the conversation about where this is all coming from. Welcome, first of all. CYNTHIA SUE LARSON: Thank you. It’s great to be here. BROOKS: It’s great to have you here. So today, we’re going to be talking about “Reality Shifts” from a perspective of -- heretofore, have we been manifesting — but accidentally; in other words, unconsciously? Is that what has happened thus far? And now, in this new paradigm we’re in, do we have the ability to really grab hold of our manifesting powers and start to consciously create? We want to talk about that. I want to ask you a question before we really get into the center of this discussion. We’re going to talk about how the subconscious and unconscious work, as they relate to manifesting. I want your definition, Cynthia, of the subconscious. What is the subconscious as opposed to the unconscious, and are they linked? LARSON: That’s a great question. Often, those two words are used fairly interchangeably in of being synonyms we think of. Whenever we consider that someone is lacking awareness, such as someone lying unconscious on the floor, that they are just totally out of it. Psychologists and psychiatrists prefer to use that term “unconscious” rather than “subconscious.” But I actually love the word subconscious, and I’ll tell you why. The reason I love it is sub- indicates there’s something below. When you get a sense of the awareness you have in your body — that you have a body knowing that’s from your head to your heart to your gut to your feet. You can get cold feet before getting married; people talk about that. That would be your feet telling you something. You can get a strange gut feeling; it’s telling you something. These are subconscious communications, and that exactly is how we tend to manifest things. In other words, we might think in our heads we know what we want. We might feel like, “I definitely, definitely, definitely want to win this prize or this raffle,” but how come we never seem to win anything? The key to it — along with beliefs we have that there can only be one winner, that there tend to be losers, that kind of thing — would be that perhaps there’s some subconscious issues of worthiness that individual has. So absolutely, the subconscious is a driving force in pretty much everything we experience. BROOKS: I was watching a talk within the last week that talked about the subconscious as sort of a repository for bits of information. They say we process perhaps millions of bits of information every second. We do process it, but most of that information is not consciously processed. In other words, if we’re processing three to four bits of information and there’s still 30,000 to 40,000 bits, they may indeed be stored in the subconscious. I wanted to get your thoughts on that and how it relates to what we’re talking about.

LARSON: That relates beautifully to what we’re talking about because the conscious mind is only capable, like you said, of the tip of the iceberg. I don’t know what the percentage is, but let’s say it only gets 3 to 10 percent of what the totality of information available might be. The rest of it is just underneath the surface. It’s the subconscious; it’s huge. So an iceberg turns out to be a perfect example and metaphor for what we’re describing, but we don’t tend to think of it that way. We tend to imagine our minds are running the show and we can listen clearly to people who have differing opinions without having knee-jerk, emotional reactions. That is not the case, and that’s very important for people to understand. When you want to make that leap from an accidental manifestor to someone who’s consciously creating, that is a leap of awareness and recognizing there’s a whole lot going below the surface inside each and every one of us. But it’s not a bad thing; it’s more a matter of becoming friends with that fuzzy logic, that parallel processing that’s occurring just below the threshold of our typical awareness. BROOKS: How to we become friends with that fuzzy logic? That’s, I think, maybe the million-dollar question. I know it’s a deep question, but how do we connect to that area or at least begin? I know this can’t happen in a vacuum. LARSON: I would recommend meditation as a gateway. People often think, “Oh my gosh, meditation. That’s scary, I can’t do that.” But it’s actually something we’re doing all the time. It’s a process of choosing a favorite focus of attention and activity. It really is as simple as that — putting the two things together. You can learn to focus your breathing and go on a walk outdoors, and that’s totally meditation. Or you can close your eyes and focus on the taste of a single raisin and bring your awareness to that. That is meditation. BROOKS: And by doing that, Cynthia, we’re connecting to what you call that fuzzy or vague area where those other bits of information we’re not normally in touch with are? LARSON: Right. This is what meditation people would call mindfulness. And getting to a state of mindfulness is indeed getting to a place where you can access that very subconscious information, what’s below the surface of the water and tip of that iceberg in yourself. You can get increasingly honest about how you genuinely feel about things. And the more honest and aware you are of yourself, your needs and your feelings, you’ll be in a much better, stronger position to navigate all the challenges of life without feeling like people are pushing your buttons or someone’s doing something to do or think life isn’t fair. It’s about getting to a state of internal balance that enables you to more gracefully move through the world and all the challenges that inevitably are faced by each one of us. BROOKS: I’m listening to what you’re saying, and I’m shaking my head on the other end of the phone, Cynthia, because — as our audience knows — we had Penney Peirce as

our opening speaker for this telesummit. I’m smiling because what you’re saying is really sort of echoing what she was saying about mindfulness and the fact that most of us is beneath the surface. She even used the iceberg analogy. And no, folks, Cynthia and Penney were not speaking prior to this call. I’m smiling because it lends credence to what you’re saying. There is something going on here. Indeed, so much of us is beneath the surface, but again, it’s a matter of how we tap that. I want to stick with the accidental manifestor. This is quite a label. Some people might be offended by it. “Accidental manifestor” — what does that mean? Things aren’t going right for me financially. I just got a divorce. I was just diagnosed with an illness. These are manifestations. Are we doing this? How is it accidental? I really want to stay with that for a little bit. LARSON: Right. When I say accidental manifestor, I’m actually describing what I would call reality shifts that occur around us. This would be the realm of the missing keys or missing sock in the laundry. Or, for those who love to notice psychokinetic effects, we’re driving along and lights go out or we’re using our computer and it crashes because we’re just in a bad mood. These things to happen to people who have a lot of energy and aren’t grounded. That would be the kinds of things people often notice. If you don’t notice that realm of experience, you might also be noticing things like synchronicities, like whatever you’re afraid of seems to be all over the place. It’s very strongly focusing your mind on something, bringing a lot of energy to it, and it just totally seems to be coming in big time. For example, I went for a walk in the park near my house with a friend who, I didn’t know it at the time, has a deep fear of snakes. I’ve never seen any snakes. She just asked me sort of a nervous question, “Are there snakes in this park?” I said, “Oh yes, I’m sure there are.” That wasn’t so remarkable. What was remarkable was, in the process of the next 30 minutes, we saw not one but two snakes that were more than five feet in length, and in my whole life, I’ve never seen any snakes in the wild of that size and certainly not in this park. I was astonished, and she was quite horrified. [laughs] Buckets full of snakes. But I’d never seen them. I’m sure we saw them because she came with me and she was that afraid of snakes. In fact, the only time I’ve ever seen such big snakes are when I’ve been with people who are just deathly afraid of them. It’s like a magnet. Just like when you go to someone’s home with people who don’t like cats, that’s the person the cat goes to first. Always. BROOKS: So that’s what you mean when you say accidental manifestor: That which we’re concentrating on with a sense of fear and trepidation may have a tendency to show itself to you more because we’re giving it authority and energy, right?

LARSON: Giving it energy and all that emotion. It’s really the mindfulness meditation. The kind of things I recommend people do is become aware of what their internal beliefs are because that’s where you can really make a big change, whether you’re experiencing destructive interference, where you’re actually cutting into the wave form of intention. If you think everything is energy, everything actually is just waves of vibrating strings, basically. There is actually a String Theory that describes the universe that way. But we know, at the smallest levels of matter, it’s really energy, as much as we could call anything matter. If you’re thinking of your thoughts as vibratory waves and you have a fear that’s clobbering that thought form -- You’ve got a beautiful wave of building and building waves that are ri to a peak — that would be constructive interference, where you’re just thinking good things, thinking, “I’m going to get the house of dreams” or “I’m going to find the love of my life” or whatever it is you’d love to manifest for yourself that’s really good all positive. We know what this feeling is that comes next when somebody comes along and throws the wet blanket on it. It might be an inner thought you have or someone makes a casual remark like, “Well, that will never happen.” That could be some sort of self-talk that happens. But whenever we get that destructive interference, we’ve put a big hole in the middle of the waves we’re building up to bring exactly what we desire. BROOKS: So constructive versus destructive. I’m actually writing this down. That’s a very critical point. We know this is a society that tends to immerse us in destructive selfdialogue and programming. It can be a very difficult task to stay on track with the constructive versus destructive. I want to talk a little bit about the power of words, which is relevant to what we’re talking about now. I reading many years ago a book called “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy. It is filled with anecdotes and examples about how the subconscious is a very proactive participant in our lives, but this story sticks out in my mind, Cynthia. Listen to this. Murphy tells the story of a man who had a daughter who was about to approach college age. I guess he’d been having some financial difficulties, so he was not sure he’d be able to send her to college. He was in the habit of repeating this mantra: “I would give my right arm to see my daughter go to college. I would give my right arm to see my daughter go to college.” Although he wasn’t necessarily thinking of this in literal , he would repeat it. Well don’t you know, what happened is at some point was he was in his car and was in an awful accident. Guess what happened? He lost his right arm. It was amputated. And if that’s not shocking enough, some unrelated incident in close proximity to when he lost his arm allowed his daughter to go to college — maybe a scholarship was granted that allowed her to go to college.

This was poignant to me. I read this book well over a decade ago. LARSON: I share stories just like that in my book, “Reality Shifts” — well, not just like that but the positive side of it: high-energy money and reality shifts. Because what we say and how we treat our subconscious makes a huge difference. I’ll give you an example from a gentlemen who attended one of my workshops in the energy fields in Sacramento, Calif. He’d just heard my book, “Aura Advantage” and been listening to my “Aura Healing Meditations” CD. He’d heard about how money can just appear out of nowhere because I told him about an experience where I’d had exactly the money to pay a waitress a tip that had not been in my wallet, but I opened my wallet to check again and kept finding dollar bill after dollar bill after dollar bill. I came up with a total of six $1 bills. I was with my daughters — kids are great because they have open minds to this sort of thing. It’s like a magic trick, but it’s happening. And you might wonder, “What the heck is going on with something like that?” There are people who have an open mind to the fact that coincidences, synchronicities, spontaneous healings — all these kinds of things are real. I know that to be true from my personal experience, so I would be very careful making any kind of statements about what I wish to be happening. I’d caution everybody listening to this: Don’t say thinks like “I would give some body part in order to get something good.” You don’t need to do that. So what happened with this gentlemen who came to my class was he’d heard about the money to pay the waitress I wrote about in “High Energy Money,” and amazingly, he came home after this workshop and had been doing the meditations and working with the energy. He opened his desk drawer and found $1,000 right there in an obvious place that he could never have overlooked. He thought that was amazing because he’d been wanting to do that. That is just one of many, many stories of people finding exactly what they need. That seems to be a common thread: getting exactly what you need. Like the money for the college — just the right amount. That’s very typical of these kinds of below-the-water, subconscious types of manifestation. The big step in making that leap from accidental manifestor to conscious creator is recognizing the power of our subconscious and knowing it’s doing the work for us. It’s the power when people say, “Let go, let God.” You can recognize there’s a partnership between each of us in the multiverse, the oneness, even if you’re an atheist. Realize letting go and not worrying and fretting is a good thing because you’re taking yourself out of the “here come the snakes” experience or losing your right arm and moving into a much better “how good can it get” world. BROOKS: Right, right. I’m looking at this wonderful list of books and audio we’ll be offering to our telesummit participants that includes “Reality Shifts” and “High Energy Money.” Before we got on the call today, Cynthia, you and I were talking about, “I know people are really going to want to know a lot about ‘High Energy Money’” because it’s

no secret: People are in dire straits financially. Not everybody, but way too many. Although I know “High Energy Money” is not just about how to get money, but money that is received through this magical way. Let’s not even say money, let’s say resources because resources come in a myriad of ways. I want to talk about “High Energy Money” a little bit more as we go forward. This is a big subject for people. As far as the example I gave a few moments ago about losing your right arm, again: Don’t repeat these things because the subconscious can’t take a joke. There are other ways of achieving what we need — not just what we want but what we need, right? LARSON: That’s exactly right. I’m glad you’re mentioning “High Energy Money,” and I was mentioning it, too, because there are some self-assessment surveys in that book that help people discover money issues, even along the lines of giving your right arm. On a subconscious level, often people feel they have a very deep-seeded ability — that they may not be conscious of — that they feel overwhelmed, for example, with bills and expenses, or they feel like they don’t know what to do to move forward or have what they need. Or they just have a negative self-image regarding themselves being prosperous. These are the kind of things I describe in the book. It’s so important to envision the financial prosperity, what you might think of as high self” — if we’re talking about the subconscious, it’s the low self — then that visioning would be the tip of the iceberg where you could see and get a clear picture of it. Our middle self — our heart and feeling good — is equally as important. And when you feel good about money, which is what the whole “High Energy Money” book is all about, you’re improving your relationship with it. It’s so funny that people give into relationships with money where you’d never have a relationship like that as a boyfriendgirlfriend or consider that a partner for marriage. People treat money terribly. They treat themselves terribly with regard to money. BROOKS: That’s right. That’s right. LARSON: This is really a whole process of improving your overall relationship — at every level — with money, from the envisioning of it to feeling about it to working effectively with it. BROOKS: Feeling good about money is something that if you were to ask some of the people on this call, they’d say, “Sure, I have no problem with money.” But I don’t know if that’s really what we’re saying here. The message is that so many of us have been given — since birth, practically — that there’s a shortage of money in the family or we’re overwhelmed with bills or I never attract the right job to bring me the money I need. It’s always negative connotations associated with money. So, if that’s the case — and I think most of us here can it that we’ve used those phrases on at least one occasion — we’re not really feeling good about money.

Maybe we’re afraid of money. Maybe it’s something we feel we’re not allowed to be friends with. So once again, in talking to the subconscious, it’s about retraining or bringing up those bits of information that say there is no need to be afraid of or not feel good about money. LARSON: Exactly. So there’s a whole section in my book about feeling good about money so you can say, “I feel confident that what I need will be mine.” And by the way, that tends to be exactly true when people move into mindfulness, do meditation and start getting to that place where you can trust the universe to take care of your needs. And you can say things to yourself like, “I love ing past successes and achievements, and I feel a sense of excitement in setting financial goals.” If you notice any tension when I’m saying any of these things, that’s a tip off that there is a little bit of a blockage there for you in particular. That’s why I would look at this as much as a workbook as anything else. It’s not a book you just read and you’re done with it. It’s intended to have a whole bunch of inspiration through actual stories. For example, a woman was playing a shot machines in a casino, and she won twice. Millions of dollars. In her case, it starts becoming clear why these things can happen. How can one person win twice at something like that? Hit a huge jackpot? Well, for her, it makes it very clear to see — when you look at the true life stories — that a person like that was always intending to share everything. She had a very clear sense of taking her entire family on a cruise. My friend was flying back on an airplane with her and was amazed to see most of the engers on that flight were coming back from that cruise with this wonderful woman who’d taken her whole family. So that’s the kind of mindset to get into — one of excitement, real enjoyment and gratitude. BROOKS: I feel confident that what I’ll need will be mine. Is that the sentence? That’s very powerful. Well, I want to try an experiment. This is off the cuff, off the script. Cynthia, I love your voice. You have such a soothing, warm, almost-angelic voice to me. I’ve told you this before. Do something for our hopefully thousands of thousands of listeners from around the world. Can you say that three times? And folks, I want you to listen carefully. Just that one sentence, you can say it in such a way. And folks, as you’re listening to her voice — and it’s just one sentence — I want you to repeat that mantra to yourself. LARSON: And feel the energy of it, because this is the way we can really have a world where we all win and everything is good for everyone, which I believe in. I believe that’s why we’re doing this show, and that’s what’s so wonderful about Conscious Life News and everything we’re doing here in this entire summit. Yes, OK, here we go. And this is all about feeling good about money. I’m going to repeat this three times. If you would, close your eyes and get to a very peaceful place inside

yourself. Open your mind, open your heart. Just relax. Breathe deeply and fully, all the way down to your abdomen. You can hear and think to yourself: I feel confident that what I need will be mine. I feel confident that what I need will be mine. I feel confident that what I need will be mine. BROOKS: Do you feel it everyone? Maybe I shouldn’t have spoken that clearly. [laughter] LARSON: I can sure feel it. BROOKS: I think everyone should write this down. There are certain affirmations that seem to carry an energy of their own, maybe more so than others. Whatever we chose for our mantra or affirmation, we’ve got to feel it. I’ve talked about that in my own work in conscious musings and heart-based visualization techniques. It’s not about recitation but about feeling it. But the words are the beginning. LARSON: There are different levels of feeling. (Just tying in with what we were talking about earlier.) This is the idea of the chakras, the energy centers that exist within us. You can think of your mind as the tip of the iceberg. You’ve got a chakra on the top of your head, which is a spinning wheel of light, which opens up the energy to all the dreams, daydreams and visions you might be getting from your high self, your superconsciousness. Then there’s the third eye on the forehead, which corresponds to that pineal gland, which actually is a lot like a little eyeball there. It has a lot of the same cells and has some light sensitivity, actually. That’s why we need to turn our computers and TVs off and get some dark time each night. But it gives us the inner knowledge of everything and everyone around us so we can see through to the heart and truth of things. The throat chakra is our communication center. The heart is pretty self-explanatory: It’s everything and everyone we love. The solar plexus is right below where the rib cage comes together. And then right below the belly button, we’ve got the what’s got so many names: dan tien, the Sacral chakra, the Hara chakra, the ocean of ki — whatever you want to call it, it’s our powerhouse center. When talking about the subconscious, this is where pretty much all the energy runs like an engine in our body. It does circulate through the whole being, but — and people who study martial arts like I do know — you can’t break a board unless you’re breathing from the belly button. It’s extremely important. And then the Kundalini chakra is at the base of the spine. These are the seven primary chakras, energy centers. That’s why it’s so important, like you said, that you feel it in every single fiber of your body. When you find that right affirmation for you, it’s being felt in your heart, being and gut — all the way down there. Because if you don’t feel it in your belly or it feels like there’s a tightness or issue there, chances are you won’t be getting exactly the kind of best results you deserve and one day will be learning how to achieve.

BROOKS: You go into a lot of detail in not just “High Energy Money” but in several of your books, right? I would imagine “Shine with the Aura of Success.” Folks, I’m looking at this package now, we will be having a discussion about what some of these wonderful products will be. Just so you know, consciouslifenews.com/Cynthia is where you can go to learn more about this. We’ll get into that more a little bit later. You’ve got a lot of great advice; things that some of us know but oftentimes need to be reminded of. I want to tell you another little story. Before we got on the phone today, Cynthia, I wasn’t feeling that great. We all have those days where we aren’t really sure where the manifestation of discord is coming from, but I was feeling it. So, interestingly, I thought, “I don’t really have a lot of time, but I kind of need to a power trek or maybe little power meditation.” Essentially what I did is went upstairs to my bed room. Normally when I meditate, I’m sitting up, of course, but I felt I needed to lie down. All I did was simply visualize those seven primary chakras you speak of opening up. I sensed that, no matter where it was coming from, one or more of those chakras had to be closed for some reason, and this was my shot at trying to stimulate them a little bit and get them open. I have to tell you I spent no more than 10 minutes maybe going through this exercise with my eyes closed simply visualizing each chakra, starting with the seventh chakra (the crown) all the way down to the root chakra. From seven to one, and each one I opened slowly. Some were actually a little slower to open, which I found interesting. The bottom line is when I emerged from this little exercise, I felt better. LARSON: It makes such a huge difference. That’s exactly what I can cover or advantage. Like you said, it’s part of the package. This is something people may not know, and you can assert it yourself and say that makes all the difference in the world, but there are meditations in this book with pictures showing what it feels like when you go through a prosperity meditation, for example, or recognizing that you can open your heart and summon your true love. There’s even a picture in this book that shows what it’s like when you do all the wrong things. It’s kind of like the pre-meditation picture of holding hatred inside. So, if people listening want to imagine what that looks like, we’ve all seen someone who just decided they’re very angry about something. Anger is actually just like every other emotion: It’s not good or bad and can be very helpful. But when people take that anger and turn it in and decide they have a vendetta, revenge or whatever it is, it darkens their energy on the inside and creates this dark, muddy, yucky stuff. It’s a little different than the blockages you’re talking about. We’re all energy beings, and we’re so empathetic and so connected to everyone else. We are social animals meant to be part of communities, so when one of us feels a toxic energy, we can all pick up on it without knowing quite where it came from. That’s

something that’s not spoken of much, but it’s very much the subject of the books I write about. We are connected, and we have energy cords that run between each of us, and they can profoundly influence how we’re feeling in those seven primary energy centers. BROOKS: So wouldn’t this somehow tie into the quantum field we’re living in? I want to read something you wrote summing up what we’d be touching on in this talk today. You said, “Einstein would be absolutely amazed at this time in history when several types of quantum behaviors he referred to as ‘spooky action at a distance’ are, for the first time, being witnessed in bigger-than-quantum-particle, visible things. This past year, scientists have observed diamonds moving in synchronicity, demonstrating quantum entanglement happening at room temperature with visible objects.” Etc. I’m not going to read the whole thing, but about something you just said a moment ago about how we’re all affecting each other in this sea of energy, doesn’t this somehow pertain to what science has actually been bearing out in its experiments? LARSON: We are getting validation of what, for all these centuries, scientists might call speculation. There’s always been that kind of a “woo, woo” angle to metaphysics, which in method just means a larger view of things. Bigger. But now what’s happening is — and I’m so glad you brought it up — we’re getting validation from scientific, reputable, verifiable experiments from a wide range of fields, everything from what you might call quantum biology -- What’s happening right now is physics is interacting with all these other fields, producing quantum mathematics, quantum statistics, quantum biology, quantum chemistry, and in every single one of these fields, we’re getting what appears to be macroscopic proof and evidence of quantum behavior happening on a level we can actually observe. So what do I mean by that? Here are some examples. You mentioned the diamonds. This is fascinating. There have been some groundbreaking experiments at Clarendon Laboratories at the University of Oxford in England. They have two teeny-tiny diamonds, but you can still see them. They’re physically separated by so many meters or feet across the room, and when one of them is zapped with an ultra-short laser, the other responds simultaneously. There’s nothing like that we’d usually see with our naked eyes in our daily life. Other than the fact that — as I just said a second ago — we are affected by our friends and our moods. We’re getting proof and evidence of that in the field of psychology. But some of these other quantum experiments I find so fascinating involve quantum tunneling, which Dr. Luca Turin of the Fleming Institute in Greece proposes this is why people can smell that familiar rotten egg smell when they have these teeny-tiny molecules where the sulfur part of it — which triggers the smell of rotten eggs — might not be situated exactly right to fit into the nose. We have receptors in our nose that can

exactly match the molecules, so it looks like these molecules are vibrating around, going and going until they reach the spot that works. But they’re crossing barriers — they’re quantum tunneling — to do it. In other words, they’re vanishing and reappearing, which is normal behavior for quantum particles, but for the first time it seems like we’re starting to see that sort of behavior in the laboratories. I just want to give one more example (I could go on and on), but in November of 2012, some scientists in China — I can’t leave them out; it’s just too big. I don’t know if I can pronounce their names right, but Xiao-Hui Bao, et al, at the University of Science and Technology of China are reporting teleportation of bundles of rubidium atoms. These are going phenomenal distances: 150 meters. That’s a long distance. And they’re using entangled photons to transmit information. Mind you, these little things I’m talking about are very fast, short-lived things, but it’s just a matter of time before science proves these things are happening on a larger scale. The reason it matters so much is — like when I was talking about those missing socks in the laundry, things not being where you think they should be, synchronicities, spontaneous regression of diseases — we’re experiencing things we know about on a quantum level, things like quantum entanglement, quantum tunneling, quantum teleportation. Even a supervision of states — like Schrödinger’s cat being both alive and dead until somebody actually opens the box and looks — is happening in our daily life all the time. And I’m excited we’re starting to get validation and verification of that in all these fields of science. BROOKS: Not everyone listening to this conversation may fully understand what the quanta is; however, I have a feeling many do. When we look at a quantum particle, we’re basically looking at the world of the very small — the world that can’t be seen with the naked eye. LARSON: Like photons of light. You don’t see a single photon, but that is a quantum particle. BROOKS: Right. And are we not made of the same thing in reality? LARSON: We are made of quantum particles. In fact, that’s was the whole definition of quanta: something that can’t be divided. So when we get down to that undividable source building block, when you say, “OK, we know a molecule is made up of all these different parts. Here’s an atom, the building block of the molecule. But inside the atom — oh my gosh — you’ve got electrons, protons and neutrons.” So we built atom-smashers to tear those things apart and see what the building blocks are inside the atom. That’s an old phrase: atom-smasher. We call them cyclotrons and the large hadron collider. Physicists discovered — much to their surprise, shock and, in some cases, horror —when you look really closely, sometimes you don’t see anything at all. It’s true that these little quantum particles, which are the building blocks of the electron, the building block of all these other small things that are the smallest things we can see with our

microscopes and so forth. These things are so darned -- they’re beyond small — they’re pure energy. There are many experiments that have proven and shown that to be true, such as the double-slit experiment people might have heard of. So the thing that’s so phenomenally exciting in the field of consciousness and why this matters so much is when you realize the observer affects everything, everything has an energetic nature and there are non-local effects — for instance, you can think, observe, be aware of or feel something — you’re absolutely affecting everyone and everything that’s connected to you. It’s for sure; it’s definite. BROOKS: We’ll bring this back full circle, Cynthia, back to everyday things we are affecting unbeknownst to us and, I guess, non-locally. Now that we have an understanding from scientific, anecdotal and esoteric perspectives, how can we get ahold of that a little bit better, assuming we affect things from a non-local perspective? How do we translate that? This is what we’re talking about today. Yes, the science is exciting, but moreover, I think people want day-to-day examples through their own experience of how this non-local affect is working with the subconscious mind. Do we have a non-local connection to our subconscious mind? Is that a fair question? The subconscious is not something that’s tangible, right? It’s just an aspect of awareness. So, if everything operates non-locally at the core, do we have a nonlocal connection with those aspects of ourselves we’re not normally in touch with? The subconscious, the unconscious? LARSON: We absolutely do. I see what you’re saying. It’s a tricky question, in a way, because it’s getting to a whole other subject of what exactly we are. Who are we? What is the I that’s listening to all of this? That’s a really tough question to answer. It gets to the heart of what gurus have been asking for millennia because it’s how do we get in touch with a part ourselves and who are we really. Who is the me who’s observing that I’m having these feelings? That’s exactly to the core of that whole thing. It’s recognizing there’s a part of ourselves that is, in some sense, very much eternal and infinite in nature and we’re connected to all it is. That very lofty sense of awareness — some of us can get to that place and have an epiphany of spiritual awakening, and it’s an extraordinary experience. Also, through meditations it’s possible. Maybe being in nature — people have had that experience. As I mentioned earlier, that can be a meditation. To be in nature and be present. There’s a wonderful energy available to us when we’re barefoot even just on the grassy lawn. BROOKS: I think it’s absolutely our birthright to try to tap that. I’ve always had a sense of excitement about the potential we have — without anyone else’s approval or looking for something from somebody else — these tools inside us; it’s just a matter of taking them out of dormancy.

That’s why I love Cynthia’s work. She addresses all these things with gentle reminders, fantastic stories and science, which she talks about in “Reality Shifts.” She touches on these themes and everything we’re talking about today. I love doing this with our guests, and I want people listening to this call to realize we’re doing this show for you. Assuming there are some areas in your life you’d like to shore up and make better, we’re doing this for you. We want to make sure this is helping you, so I like to bring up a hypothetical situation. I’m person X, and I’m dealing with this problem. Where do I start? I’m a person who’s dealing with absolute financial hardship. I’m also dealing with a tenuous relationship in the workplace. I’m having a couple of problems here. I’m looking at a list of wonderful products — both books and audio — you’re offering to our telesummit participants; where do I start, Cynthia? Where would you point me in what I’m looking at here? LARSON: When you’re feeling like problems are getting you down in general and everything’s overwhelming, I’d absolutely start with “Reality Shifts.” I just love that book, and I love it because so often we forget there’s so much going on — reality is blipping in and out of existence and happening so fast — and we can feel overwhelmed, but when we know we’re moving from one discreet reality to another – Every time we make a decision or choice, we’re literally walking into whole new worlds. And you read that book and see examples where people literally did that. I describe feeling like I’d lost my friend in San Francisco, for example, because I’d missed the train. I showed up late, they’d left without me, there’s no note, I don’t know where I’m going. Then it starts to rain because we’re in San Francisco — even in the summertime, we get fog or drizzling. I could easily go to a place where I feel, “This sort of thing always happens to me. I’m left out.” I could go there, but I already know something: When you shift gears, just like shifting gears in a car, and decide not to go to that low-energy place (which would be reverse) — I’m going to move into first gear. First you go through neutral, which means you meditate. That’s what I did. I cleared my mind, breathed deeply, enjoyed the rain, felt the love of being there in that beautiful city. Then I shifted gears. I thought, “OK, I’m going to follow my feet to where my friends are,” just knowing I could trust that. It takes a leap of faith to do that. But why not? What did I have to lose? The worst thing is I’d get a little wet walking around in the drizzle. So what. So I do that. The funny thing is -- I didn’t mention this earlier, but I think San Francisco has more restaurants per square feet than most any city in the world, so it might seem like no big deal that you can’t find where your friends went, but it’s a big deal. There are thousands of restaurants in that city.

So I just followed my feet. I didn’t let the odds get me down; I just went where my feet walked. When I couldn’t walk any further because I was facing a wall, I looked up and saw a sign for a restaurant, which seemed promising except it looked like it was nowhere nearby. But I decided that must be what I’m going to because my eyes looked up and saw that sign. So I took an elevator because it wasn’t on the ground floor. I arrived at the level for the restaurant, stepped out of the elevator, kept telling my body to look where I need to look and walk where I need to walk, turned my head and looked directly at my friends. Their chins just about hit the floor. What I’m doing there is something all of us can do. “Reality Shifts” takes you right through it. It’s meant to bring you to that state of peacefulness, mindfulness and lucid living. It’s something that’s our birthright. I think children know how to do this — be in the now, be present, trust your intuition, make friends easily. How many adults do you know who just feel, “That’s my friend!” We lose that ability, and we need to regain it in order to feel that joy in our lives again. BROOKS: I’ve read “Reality Shifts.” As you know, we’ve talked many hours about all the anecdotes in the book and overarching theme of our birthright to witness and be part of these shifts, as well as in some cases initiate them. I love the story of finding your friends in the restaurant. It’s certainly the epitome of synchronicity and trusting. That’s what you’ve learned to do and will encourage readers of “Reality Shifts” to do more of. LARSON: I think it’s hard. I love your question originally because when people get to that point when they feel like the world is shattering — I’m going through a divorce, I lost my job — those are the times we need those miraculous shifts the most. Sometimes people are literally going in reverse. They’re listening to those old beliefs, the internal self-talk that tends to be cycling them into a downward spiral. I give lots of examples in the book of how to pull out of that, totally turn it around, move out of destructive interference into constructive. BROOKS: From accidental manifestor to conscious creator. I see a couple of books that deal with auras. I’ve always found that subject fascinating. I’ve experimented with trying to see the aura. I don’t know if these titles deal more metaphorically with aura or actually working with our aura. Can you talk about both “Shine with the Aura of Success” and the “Aura Advantage” books? LARSON: Yes. “Shine with the Aura of Success” is a short book, but it gives you the basics, so it’s the place to start. It gives you a sense quickly about what I mean when I’m talking about the energy field — why it is some days feel better than others; why a pregnant woman can seem just glowing; why you feel ed when you have good friends by your side or it feels horrible when you’re in a group of people you can tell don’t like you — it gets into the nitty-gritty of energy cords, which are those connections hopefully from your heart to others. Sometimes, you can feel connected and people are sucking your energy away like a vampire of energy or something.

“Shine with the Aura of Success” is a strong, powerful summary — like a high-level executive report of what the aura is and how to make it your friend and get the most out of being aware of that energy you possess. BROOKS: You talk about parasiting or vampiring energy. This is something that’s being talked about a lot, whether it’s lately or I’m just tuning into more of it. So many people seem to be talking about how they’re being affected by, used or treated poorly by other people. If you could just elaborate on this a little bit more. This is talked about in the book, and is this something that will help people figure out how to combat that negative energy? LARSON: It’s not so much going into the vampirism as the positive side. I describe the Roseto Effect with diagrams from scientific studies that prove close-knit communities, where people really depended on each other -- The town of Roseto, Penn., is where this happened, actually. Researchers were puzzled and asked themselves, “Why is it these Italian-Americans are eating the worst food imaginable that we know lead to heart disease, strokes and early death, but these people are living long, long lives. What’s going on in Roseto?” So they went there and found out when you live with three generations in one household, which most Americans don’t do anymore, you get all the health benefits of that close-knit community. You’ve got that (what we would call) downside, too — everybody knows your business, and it seems like there’s a lot more going on than you may have bargained for — but the payoff and benefit of knowing that many people genuinely love, adore and care for you is so wonderful. I think many of us have paid with our health for the lack of community in our lives. It’s the price we paid for going to these little nuclear-family households. I cover that a little bit in “Shine with the Aura of Success.” In “Aura Advantage,” I also don’t go so much into the negative of energy vampires, but I do describe a way to clear the energy cord. There’s an illustration of cleaning the energy cords between you and other people. You can do it right now if you’re listening and thinking, “I have toxic people in my life. I know there are vampires here.” You can tell when you’ve brought your awareness to a connection or relationship that feel bad because it just feels bad. You know you don’t want the phone to ring and it be them. Maybe you set a ring tone — I have a friend who’s ex calls, it sounds like a submarine: “Dive! Dive!” So if you have someone like that in mind, clap your hands and make that happy noise with the intention right now, right here, to clear the energy between you. Send one hand of unconditional, divine love to them. (I’ll get to that in a minute — I know, you might think you don’t love them, but you do at your core. Everybody’s fine. People tend to react out of fear. Whatever issues you have, I’m sure they’re just reacting out of fear.) So you send love to them and bring love to you. You’ve now cleaned that cord between the two of you.

BROOKS: So, let’s do this again. You clap your hands — LARSON: Or you can snap your fingers if you’ve just got one hand available. BROOKS: So, a loud sound — LARSON: No, it’s a happy, clear sound that means right here, right now. You’re just taking a random point in that energy cord you’re imagining between the two of you — and breathe in as you do this, breathe in pure, unconditional love — to reset this relationship and get back to the sense of harmony all of us as newborns have when we come into the world. We have a clean slate. You look at a newborn, and they’re happy. We’re going to get back to that happy place. You send love to whomever you’re having issues with — BROOKS: With one hand? LARSON: One hand, sending love — perfect, pure, clean, unconditional, divine love. And I know you might want to zap them or whatever, but don’t do that. [laughter] I know it’s tempting. Don’t do that. BROOKS: But there’s nobody I don’t like, so I’m sending everybody love. LARSON: That’s always the best thing. The thing is, they’re stewing in their own juices, and what people who are living in fear are doing is creating a toxicity around them. By sending them love, you’re going to give them a little bit of a fast track to get out of it. It may not happen real soon, and maybe you’ll never see it — don’t get fixated on that. If they’re not changing, draw your energy away from them. All that matters is you’re cleaning the energy between the two of you so they can’t hurt you anymore or throw you off your game. You just know in your heart that they love you and you love them. You have a few issues and have had them in the past, but things are going to get better because you’re resetting the connection. BROOKS: We’ve all had somewhat toxic people in our lives at one time or another, but I’ve always had this intuitive sense that if I could kill them with kindness rather than feed and react emotionally to whatever they may have done or said to me, (in silence of course, something I may never share with them) I send them love or a blessing of some sort. LARSON: Getting back to the vampire thing, because it’s another piece of it, I address it in “Aura Advantage.” You need to recognize you have an energy-field boundary around the perimeter of your space. For a lot of people who have vampire issues and feel drained

when they’re with people, what they’re really experiencing is a permeability to the external layer of the energy field. By the way, you’re offering “Aura Advantage” the e-book for the first time it’s ever been offered. BROOKS: I know, that’s exciting. Cynthia, you were telling me everybody has been requesting it in e-book. LARSON: It’s a big international seller, and the way customs are in various countries like in South America, it’s a big mess to order a hard copy. BROOKS: So this is the first time it’s being offered? Are we the breaking news here at the CLN telesummit? LARSON: Yes, it is. And what a deal. You have the best deal going for it. BROOKS: Speaking of deal, I’m looking at everything, and this is really phenomenal. Cynthia also provides such a veritable collection of answers about how we can become conscious creators versus accidental manifestors. It’s an anthology that included your colleague and friend of both of ours, Steve Bhaerman, a.k.a. Swami Beyondananda. And Barbara Marx Hubbard? Really? That’s phenomenal. Tell me about this. I think it’s a big one. LARSON: We had that whole thing going with 2012 and what would happen on Dec. 21, 2012 — obviously we survived that. So I thought of an anthology collaboration between various authors for that book, “2012: Creating Your Own Shift.” Subsequent to that, a smaller group of contributors collaborated on this book “Sacred Shift,” which is really about “Now what?” We’ve gone through that 2012 age, that gateway, and there’s a great awakening happening on the planet right now, but at the same time, there seems to be so many challenges and crises facing the planet, our political and economic systems and our social fabric. Just about everywhere you look, it seems there’s some kind of problem or crisis. But there’s also an opportunity. These are visionaries, and I feel so grateful to be part of this collaboration. BROOKS: You are in company, for sure. Was Dolores Cannon in this book, Cynthia? I know you participated in a couple of anthologies, or am I thinking of another title?

LARSON: Let’s see — I believe so. I don’t have it in front of me. But she’s an amazing contributor. There are so many people who love Dolores Cannon’s work. The contributors I’m aware of for sure are Barbara Marx Hubbard, as you mentioned — BROOKS: Diana Cooper. LARSON: […], Patricia Cota Robles. They’re very much at the heart and soul of this book. But it’s a huge thing. Also, when people are thinking in of what’s ahead of us and what they can do, people tend to get overwhelmed. This book is not meant to be overwhelming at all — it’s meant to be light, humorous, uplifting and inspirational, as well as helping to provide a vision for the way things can go forward so we can solve the problems without feeling any one of us has to carry too much of a burden or we’re dragging people down in the process. I think focus is the essence of mindfulness. And , you are just like an iceberg and have so much underneath the surface, but you can talk to that subconscious part of you. Keep asking the universe, “How good can it get? How good can I get? How good can we get?” This is the focus, whatever your level of concentration of who you are and what’s going on around you. Keep asking, “How good can things get?” no matter where things are right now. That kind of open-ended playfulness with the subconscious is powerful. BROOKS: Yeah, it certainly is. That, and “I feel confident that what I need will be mine.” That’s something I’m going to take and keep with me for quite some time.
