A little information The standard 500cc ABSAF engine is almost exactly the same as the original one, except for relocated 10mm spark plug (for better combustion), modified inlet and exhaust ports (for better flow), forged piston, stainless valves, nikasil one piece barrel, modern built up crankshaft with big end needle bearing, heavy duty main bearings, cast iron high capacity oil pump, vernier adjustable cams, timing gear plate located with a dowel. All parts are interchangeable with original. Max rpm is 7200. Bore x stroke is 85 x 88mm, compression is 10:1. The 600cc engine has a 90mm bore, 92.5mm stroke, reinforced cylinder barrel, modern flat piston design, modern cylinder head layout, plus all the improvements on the standard engine where applicable, max rpm 6700. Compression is 10:1. The full race engine has different cams, cam followers, pushrods, lightweight crank, special crankshaft, special cylinder head, different valve angles etc. Bore x stroke is 85 x 88mm, max rpm is 7200. Compression is 11.6:1 This is a very fast, high torque, low inertia engine. It is impossible to give an exact bhp as readings depend on carburettor, ignition and exhaust systems.Then there is the possibility to do upgrades to this engine,but this can be dicussed best with the factory.
