About The S Organization Welcome S artifacts pose a significant threat to global security. Various agencies from around the world operate to maintain human independence from extra-terrestrial, extra-dimensional, and extra-universal threat. In the past humankind has been at the whim of these bizarre artifacts and similar phenomena, but we have now reached a point in history where we can begin to control and contain these defiances of natural law. You are now working for the S Foundation. You have no need to understand how or why we operate. What you do need to understand is how vital your mission is. Our Goals • • • •

Observe preternatural phenomena and develop new theories of science based on their observable behavior. Contain potentially dangerous phenomena Develop safety procedures for dealing with all future phenomena Observe, detain, and destroy any one or any thing preventing us from accomplishing the above-stated goals.

S Reports One of the most essential functions of the Foundation is to compile and consolidate information about artifacts in our possession, or observed outside of our scope of influence. Special Containment Procedures are required for each and every observed phenomena. It is amongst your top priorities to assist the higher-level officers in the research required for the composition of these reports. These reports are the foundation of the Foundation. Also, it is imperative that these documents never leak to the public. If they are verified and traced back to the source by a party not privy to this information, it could spell disaster for the Foundation and all S artifacts currently under our control. Furthermore, you are expected to collaborate with your team in creating the entries for any new Ss you apprehend. Your responsibility for these Ss does not end when you turn them over to your designated site. As the ones most familiar with the Ss you have contained, your expertise will be called upon when dealing with them.

Special Containment Procedures Commonly known as 'Ss,' these articles are overview reports of individual 'Items' in containment by S personnel and facilities. They quickly summarize threats and describe items with only necessary details (as time might be short on hand in the event of a containment breach or other event). Items can be an object, place, person, animal or even an occurrence. They are given an Item# as S-XXX and categorized. Ss are grouped as being 'Safe,' 'Euclid,' or 'Keter' which are classifications that explain expected threat levels. Safe: Any S object classed as Safe is usually little more than a curiosity to the research teams, but is still anomalous enough to warrant containment in some form or another. Any S object classified as Safe can be interacted with by any member of staff, regardless of security clearance. This is also the only class of S object that anyone of O5-x clearance is permitted access to, though even then only under controlled circumstances. Keep in mind that Safe class objects are not completely harmless: an automobile, or an AK-47, for instance, would be considered Safe, although it is capable of killing human beings. However, its functions are understood, and reliable safety measures can be taken to avoid harm. Euclid: Euclid classification is generally applied to objects whose properties are not currently understood. Unlike Safe class objects, there are no reliable containment procedures on Euclid class objects: this may be because the object either does not obey known laws of nature and physics, or because its response to stimuli constantly changes. Objects classified as Euclid may be declined to Safe if a greater understanding of their properties is achieved. Euclid class objects are not necessarily inherently dangerous, but they are unpredictable: for this reason, greater care should be taken around them. A wild animal, for instance may be considered Euclid, as it may have unpredictable responses to stimuli.

Keter: The strictest object class, Keter-class objects can only be handled by Class D personnel (see Security Clearance Levels) except in special circumstances. Keter objects are naturally inimical to life and pose great difficulties in keeping them controlled, hence the use of Class D personnel in their maintenance. Keter objects fall into one of two categories: those that are of immense strategic value once controlled, or those that have been deemed impossible to destroy due to the nature of the artifact. In either case, the artifact is to be kept until its use has been ascertained and replicated in a more controlled environment, or until a method of ensuring the objects' permanent destruction is determined. Keter class objects are always inherently dangerous, despite the best containment procedures possible: the threat level may range from global armageddon to simply killing everything around it. A hand grenade with the pin removed may be considered Keter: a single mistake will cause casualties. Neutralized: Any object that has since been destroyed, or in some way has no odd, extra-dimensional, or adverse effects. Objects classified under this class should have a note stating what class it was while it was an active S. Decommissioned: Reserved for objects that are not only destroyed, but disavowed by the Foundation.

Warning Labels The following page contains various warning labels used by the Foundation to append to S case documents, in order for agents and researchers to quickly determine what safety precautions they must prepare for when handling or interacting with a given S. All labels, as per Procedure FLS-2002-4, must be presented in a manner similar to the 'DIN 4844-2' standard, voted on and approved by a majority of Operatives on [[DATE EXPUNGED]]. This will replace the previous labelling system, based off of the North American standard 'NFPA 704', which was determined to be deficient in categorizing the threat profile of certain Ss.

Clearance Levels LEVEL 0: Standard operating personnel. Personnel at this level are not permitted any with an S object; breach of this protocol will result in termination of the personnel involved. LEVEL 1: Standard security clearance level for staff involved in the maintenance of a S object. Level 1 clearance is usually appended with the S the personnel have clearance for (e.g. 1/173) LEVEL 2: Clearance level for staff involved in overseeing an S object. Appended with the S the personnel have clearance for, separated by a dash for those with clearance for multiple S objects (e.g. 2/173-847) LEVEL 3: All general security staff for any site housing a S object are required to have this level of clearance and are permitted access to all non-Keter level S objects. LEVEL 4: Command-level personnel; permitted access to all non-Keter level S objects LEVEL 5: Highest ranking Senior Staff. Most Level 5's are Overseers. Certain of Senior Staff have been given level five clearance due to repeated need to work on Keter level S Objects. NOTE: This security clearance structure is independent of any other military security clearance structure.

Non-Standard Security Clearance Levels D: Class D personnel are designated staff used to handle the Keter-level objects. Warning: Class D personnel are not permitted interaction with class D personnel assigned to a different object or S personnel. Class D personnel are recruited from prison inmates. Condemned persons are preferred; in times of duress, Protocol 12 can be authorized, allowing recruitment of innocents or persons incarcerated for lesser crimes. All Class D personnel must be terminated at the first of the month, and a new staff must be ready to replace them. After placement in quarters, staff must only Class D personnel through intercom system. All personnel involved with Class D will be given a minimum of one (1) polygraph tests at 1800 on a daily basis. Failure to comply will result in termination. Failure to test will result in termination. In event of any abnormalities, termination of entire Class D personnel is advised, as well as any S personnel that has had basic interaction. E: Temporarily affixed to the start of a security clearance (e.g. E1), when a new S object has been discovered but is still in an unsecured uncontrolled state. E-clearance personnel are tasked with bringing the effect and maintaining it. Once the S are in place and the object is E is removed and the personnel are given the appropriate number on the clearance.

FA: Field Agent level clearance is a special designation for of investigation teams assigned to seek and apprehend several Ss over time. This code is permanently affixed to the start of the identification code provided to field agents arranged “Field Agent -<site number>- (e.g. FA3-XX-XXX). Field agents are second only to the overseers of their site and are responsible for the containment procedures for Ss they apprehend. Field agent input is often sought on research requests dealing with 'their' Ss. O5-x: Overseer-level clearance is given only to the directors of the S Project. The x indicates their number, ranging from 1 to 13 (e.g. O5-7). O5 personnel are permitted to access any and all data related to the S objects. However, due to the sensitive nature of their position, O5 personnel are not permitted to have any direct with a S object, nor may they enter any site housing a S object under any circumstances.

So we called them 'gods' and 'demons,' and begged them to spare us and prayed for salvation. In time, their numbers dwindled and our numbers rose. The world began to make more sense when there were less things to fear. Yet, the unexplained can never truly go away, as if the universe demands the absurd and impossible. Mankind must not go back to hiding in fear. No one else will protect us, we must stand up for ourselves. While the rest of mankind dwell in the light, we must stand in the darkness to combat it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane, normal world.
